The In Vivo Neuropharmacology department in Hamburg, Germany, is looking for an 
enthusiastic, creative and passionate
Research Scientist (m/f)
who is driven to reinforce our various drug discovery programs  in the  field of 
CNS/Neurodegeneration. Reporting directly to the group  leader,  you will be 
responsible for providing translational and   disease-relevant pharmacology 
data. Therefore, you will establish animal   models, such as Huntington’s, 
Alzheimer, Parkinson’s disease or   Multiple Sclerosis, and run behavioural 
tests for assessing cognitive   and motor functions. In addition, you will train 
and supervise technical   staff, provide scientific expertise within and outside 
the   organization, maintain knowledge of scientific and competitive   
progresses within areas of expertise.
With a PhD in a life science discipline and at least 3-year  post-doc  or 
industry experience in in vivo neuropharmacology you will  have  gained a strong 
understanding of target biology relevant to   CNS/neurodegenerative diseases and 
identification of target specific   translational biomarkers.  You will also 
need thorough knowledge in the   development and use of animal disease models 
and hands-on experience   with animal experimentation. Experience with 
stereotaxic surgery would   be a plus. Excellent oral and written communication 
skills are required;   fluency in German language would be highly appreciated.
