TEACHING ASSISTANT(”AYUDANTE”)
NETCOM (Networks and Communication Services) Group is part of the Department of Telematics Engineering, University Carlos III of Madrid. The Group works in close collaboration with the international research institute IMDEA Networks. NETCOM and IMDEA Networks work together on various research projects. Their symbiotic relationship provides many opportunities for researchers in both organisations to exchange ideas and to extend their knowledge. The two groups conduct complementary research in the areas of network architectures, communication protocols, distributed services and network design topics. Current work is focused around IPv6 and related protocols, mobile networks and services, active and programmable networks and high performance networking.
We are seeking exceptional post-graduate candidates from around the World for a limited number of Teaching Assistant (”Ayudante”) positions. This is a unique opportunity to undertake your Ph.D. with financing for up to four years, subject to satisfactory performance. You will be supervised by an expert tutor from either NETCOM or IMDEA Networks, such as the world-renowned and award-winning scientists, Dr. Nick Maxemchuk, Dr. Marco Ajmone Marsan and Dr. Arturo Azcorra.
* You will be required to participate in teaching duties during the academic year.
Applications are invited from graduates who meet the following requirements:
- B.Sc., M.Sc. or equivalent in Telematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Excellent academic transcripts
- Clearly defined Statement of Purpose for Masters/Ph.D. research thesis
- Excellent level of spoken and written English AND Spanish
- Highly motivated
